This year the Easter Bunny didn't come to our house until after church. We had a family home evening lesson the week before on the true meaning of Easter. We wanted to focus the day on Christs resurrection and not the commercial side of it. I t made the day that much better by waking up and focusing on the savior. I am so thankful for what the savior did for me, for all of us. It makes everything I am going through that much easier to bear. I love my savior and am so thankful for the major role he plays in my life and my decisions. I am so thankful he guides me in the way I raise my kids and my everyday trials. I am truly blessed to have the Gospel in my life.
Here are the kids in their new Easter clothes. I love easter. This year I opted to not color eggs at my own house with the kids and I got in trouble with Papa. I guess I just don't like the mess and it just does't excite me anyway we ended up dying eggs at Papa and Mamos house on Easter. We ate dinner and then the kids did their eggs hunt. I love to watch the kids, they get so EGGSITED to look for the eggs. They did about two rounds of searching and ryleigh, my neice, thought it would be fun to have the kids hide the eggs and the parents find them. I can't remember the last time I hunted for easter eggs. It was really fun. We only got about three rounds of hunting in because the eggs became completely damaged. They tasted fabulous. We had two easter egg hunts on Sat. One at Ryans birthday party and another at Family Home evening with Grandma and Grandpa Hansen. Man the kids got so much candy, you would think it was Halloween all over again.
St Patricks Day! It is kind of growing on me. Ever since the boys started pre-school St patricks day has been a big deal. I think this holiday is so fun. I made sure my kids wore green that day and Dand I of course. The first thing out of D's mouth to the kids was, "Where is your green?" Give them a break, they just woke up. The boys wore green shirts to school and we found some necklaces at Target. They said "Kiss me I'm Irish." They each had five necklaces and were able to give four to whomever they wanted. They spent most of their day trying to catch a leprechaun. Darn, those little guys are smart, maybe next year. We had corned beef and cabbage at papas house the day before. It is a tradition for every St. Patricks Day. I have come to find out that I do like corned beef. T's teacher sent a note home stating that she wanted all the kids to make a leprechaun trap! I think I had more fun with this than T did. They had to bring it to school by Fri the 14th so they could set them up and see if they caught any leprechauns. No such luck but T did come home with lots of chocolate gold coins and a trap with tiny footprints all over it. Here is a picture of T and his trap.

Sicilee: Last but certainly not least. Sicilee is one of a kind. She is such a sweet little girl, yet the devil at the same time.Boy does she give me a run for my money. Oh, but how I love her. She really loves dolls, Dolls with binkies and strollers to be exact. She also loves her own binky and has to have at least two or three at a time. She really likes dogs and if you show her a picture of any kind of animal she tells you it is a dog. She completes our wonderful family. I can't imagine not having her. I love you sici-boo!

He also loves trains, Union Pacific to be exact. He loves the color yellow, maybe that is why he loves Union pacific so much. One of his favorite things to do is spend the night at Papa and Mamo's house. You are awesome buddy! I love You

I thought I would set up a blog for us. Not quite sure what I am doing but hopefully I will get the hang of it. Life is busy right now. Doug is gone all the time with work and school. He is studying alot but it is a good thing because he is taking the DAT in May. We miss him alot but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end. I believe it will all be worth it. The kids keep me busy. Homework, reading, laundry, cleaning and cooking meals. They are my life and I can't imagine doing anything else. The kids and I have cabin fever and can't wait to for spring to come. Tyler wants to paly tee-ball and Joshua and Keira want to play soccer. It will keep us busy, but it will be fun. The boys played soccer last year and loved it. My days are full and busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! I love my family.
